HOW Stinger® WORKS:
A closed loop re-circulator moves helium gas through three stages to cool the sample space (separate from the cryocooler circuit).
> Gas flows through Stinger transfer line
to cool experimental cold head
> Used gas returns to cooler via transfer line
> Cooled gas exits to be re-circulated by pump

key Stinger™ System Features
Major Laboratory Benefits:
WIDE TEMPERATURE RANGES
• enables 3.8 K – 800 K
directly at the sample point
all capacity measurement takes at far end of gas line, directly at sample mount
ELIMINATE VIBRATION
• under 10 nanometers of displacement at sample point
• lower vibration configurations also available
ColdEdge’s STINGER™ provides the lowest vibration closed-cycle cryogenic system commercially available in the 2026 market.
ELECTRICAL ISOLATION
• the STINGER™ flexible transfer line can be electrically isolated from the cryocooler body.
XUHV VACUUM LEVELS
• Cryostat bakeable to 200° C
• Titanium and high purity copper cryostats available

MULTI-EXPERIMENT APPLICATIONS
• plugs into a wide variety of experimental cryostats
• increase lab productivity by testing more samples/spaces per system cooldown (~4.5 hours)
• compatible with most pre-existing major brand LHe flow cryostats
COMPLETELY CLOSED CYCLE COOLING
• system can run 24/7 all year long
• continuous operation without liquid Helium top-offs
